SPRINGFIELD, MASS. (December 14, 2023) – Wellfleet is pleased to announce Jessica MacDonald has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development for the Student Health division.
MacDonald brings more than 20 years of experience in the student health industry and, most recently, was the Director of Sales and Strategic Accounts at Anthem/Elevance.
In her new role at Wellfleet, MacDonald will lead the strategic development of new business opportunities and prospective partnerships for Wellfleet’s Student Health division. She will focus on articulating Wellfleet’s value proposition as a student-centric health insurance plan to schools across the country.

MacDonald is a passionate leader with more than two decades of experience in nearly every area of student health insurance. Her tenacious spirit and expertise in developing winning sales strategies will help expand the business and positively impact students.

Prior to joining Wellfleet, MacDonald held leadership roles at Anthem/Elevance, Aetna Student Health, and Christie Student Health. In these roles, MacDonald successfully spurred company growth through managing sales strategy and client accounts, heading up new business, and building enduring relationships with clients.
